how were mosaics used? (what was their purpose)

Many mosaics were used on floors. For example the Romans had a heating system under their floors and perhaps the tiles were more functional than any other covering.They were also used for covering walls and for ceilings.

when were mosaics used in history?

The history of mosaic goes back to around 4,000 years ago.

What is a mosaic?

google definition: A picture or pattern produced by arranging together small colored pieces of hard material, such as stone, tile, or glass.

Are there any art techniques you'd like to learn or develop?

I'd like to learn how to shade objects right and draw human figures accurately. 

If your learning experience in could be anything you wanted it to be, how would you change it?

I'm not sure what I would do, I would want more painting activities to do because I love getting projects like that. 

What is your favorite thing about school? Etc

i) My favorite thing about school is seeing my friends, because they just make my day 10 times better 

ii) my least favorite thing about school is sitting in a class for 5 hours. 

iii) The activities I hate during school are presentations by myself. 

Sketch Book Project

I used ink pen in my sketch book and I drew all my favorite things to draw. I'm always catching myself drawing these images on my school work and randomly . I have no other reason to why I drew these pictures in my sketchbook other then I enjoy drawing buildings, flowers, scenery and human figures.

What do you think of art? Are you excited about this class or does it make you freak-out a bit?

I absolutely love art.  it is the one thing I enjoy most in the world. I'm some what excited for this class, I'm really glad I started this blog after being nagged for the past year. I'm eager to get I started. I'm definitely not freaked-out about this class. Art class is the easiest class to just learn new skills, meet goals and express your passion for art.
